Juniors Training/Coaching

Dear Parent / Carer,

On behalf of Chichester Priory Park HC we would like to welcome your child to the Club and provide you with some information about our activities. The Club offers opportunities for young people between the ages of 4 - 16 years to receive coaching and competition in Hampshire and Sussex Junior Hockey. All coaching is by qualified coaches who are trained or training and have been screened for their suitability to work with young people.

We welcome parents to all training sessions and competitions and value your support. Below is some information about training times and dates, and details regarding arrangements, kit and Club Registration.

Training sessions take place at Kingsham Field on the Boys’ High School campus, in keeping with the schedule posted prior to the season. See the above coaching structure sheet.

Arrangements should be made for your child to travel to and from training sessions and matches. We appreciate it if children can arrive and are picked up promptly. If you are going to be late picking your child up, please contact the head coach of the session and let them know.

Years R - 6 must have an accompanying adult at the training sessions. This ensures that toilet visits, drinks and any emergencies can be dealt with speedily and enables coaches to continue with individual/group activities.

Club playing kit consists of a white club shirt, navy shorts/skirt/white socks. Shin guards and mouth guards are compulsory. The cost of each training session is FREE within the membership. The Club has a junior membership fee and payment is reasonably flexible. We now have a family membership concession.

Please complete the Junior Membership Forms. For the safety of your child it is important that the Club is informed of any medical condition or allergies that may be relevant should your child fall ill or be involved in an accident while at the Club.

If you would like to talk to someone at the Club about any of the information or your child’s involvement with the Club, please contact the Junior Welfare Officer on 01243 779195.

We thank you for your co-operation and look forward to meeting you at some point in the future.

Yours sincerely,

Junior Co-Coordinators
Mr. Martin Emmett, Junior Welfare Officer 01243 779195
Mr. Andrew Barnes, Head Coach
Mrs. Jill Lowther, Junior Liaison
